What We've Been Up To At Gamely Connect

It's been a busy few months around the centre, so we thought we'd share a quick catch-up on everything that's been happening.

We kicked things off with a trip out to the Abbey Medieval Festival - a great day out and a nice change of scenery from our usual PC and board game sessions. The group watched medieval reenactments, wandered around ye-old town and enjoyed the festivities together.
Back in the centre, we celebrated a few client birthdays together, which is always one of our favourite excuses to down tools and just enjoy each other's company.
We followed that up with our mid-year staff party, which (no surprises here) involved an evening of games right in the centre.
We also welcomed Cass to the team as our new Centre Manager. She brings 10 years of experience leading and working with young people, a serious love of board games and has a huge capacity for fun.
We have been welcoming lots of new gamers as well, hitting 100 active participants. Woah! It's hard to believe that it wasn't very long ago there was only a few of you and now we are nearly at capacity!
On the tech side, we've upgraded a couple of our gaming PCs, (helloooo new graphics cards) so expect smoother sessions on PC3 and PC4. We also gave a boost to our server, increasing it's storage so we can download even more games!
Behind the scenes, we've also started laying the groundwork to become an NDIS registered provider. We're not there yet, but it's an active goal we're working toward over the coming months, and we'll keep everyone posted as it progresses.
We've been super busy these past couple months, and have lots of things planned for the second half of the year too. Thanks to everyone for being a part of our nerdy little gaming community!
