Session Information
What do sessions look like?
Our approach is relatively hands off. We don’t force clients into structured activities or ice breakers. The sessions have a flow to them, and whenever a group game is starting, everyone is invited but never pressured to join in if they’re not feeling it that day.

Our goal is to meet participants where they’re at - if they need a few weeks (or even months) to play a familiar game alone on a computer while they get used to the space and new faces, that’s fine. If they come in their first week ready to play group games and make friends, we have a session to suit that too.
Will there be others like me in the sessions?
Most likely, since as much as possible, we take the time to match new participants into sessions based on their interests, personality and capacity level.
What is the sign up process?
First, we have you come in for a meet and greet with just you and someone from our management team. This is a great opportunity for the participant (and their guardian/nominee) to check out the space, understand what sessions look like and have all their questions answered.
Most importantly, it allows us to get to know the participant, so that we can match them into a session with others with similar interests, personality and capacity level.
If it feels like our service is a good match for your needs and goals, we can go through our onboarding paperwork in this meeting and get you booked in for your first session.
Can I bring my own support worker?
Yes, you can.
However, we provide support in our sessions and must bill accordingly whether you have your own support worker or not (we are not a gaming cafe - we are an NDIS service providing individualised care). For most clients, having their own support worker in our sessions uses up their funding unnecessarily.

We can provide transport, so most of our clients don’t need to bring their own support worker once they’re comfortable with our supports.
We understand that some clients have specific needs though, so if you would still like to bring your own support worker to our sessions, you are welcome to do so.

All we ask is that your support worker is engaged in the session (not just sitting to the side on their phone) as our space is small and it effects the vibe of the room.

A popular option is to bring your own support worker for the first few weeks, and once you are comfortable with our support workers, most clients come without their own support worker happily.
Is transport provided?
Yes, subject to availability.
For our Saturday Teens sessions, we run back-to-back two-hour sessions, and about half of the participants choose to stay for four hours. At the moment, we cannot provide transport for participants who only attend for two-hours, as our support workers cannot leave the session while it is still running.

For all other sessions, transport can be provided by us within approximately 30mins of our Caboolture South location

Pricing
How much do sessions cost?
We charge in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Guidelines.
Adult sessions run for four hours and teenager sessions are between two and four hours long.
Which part of my NDIS plan do you bill from?
We can bill from either Core Funding using the Group Activities line item.
All our line items can be found on our pricing page here.
What if I don't have NDIS?
You are welcome to pay for sessions privately - there is no need to have NDIS to access our sessions.
Unfortunately, we legally cannot charge a different rate for privately paying clients accessing the same service as NDIS funded clients, so privately billed participants pay the same rates listed above.
